V roce 2019 bylo v České republice vykonaných 1.273,7 milionů platebních transakcií kartou (119,04 transakce na osobu), významný nárůst o 202,6 milióna (18,92%) v porovnání s 1.071,1 miliónu v roce 2018. Hodnota plateb kartou v České republice je v rámi EU nízká, nárůst o 3,8 bilióna EUR (13,72%) na 31,5 biliónu EUR (2 940 EUR na osbou) v roce 2019, v provnání s 27,7 bilióny EUR v roce 2018. To se taky promítá do €24,7 za platební transakci kartou, co činí pokles ve srovnání s €25,4 v roce 2018.
