Who is ANNA for?
We’re currently open to any UK resident who is a director of a limited company, and non-limited businesses that are structured as a partnership or sole trader.
Is ANNA a bank?
ANNA is a mobile business account that provides admin support and tax reminders, not a bank. Your ANNA business account comes with a debit card, an account number and a sort code, but we do not offer credit or loans. Our app supports busy people through brilliant UK-based customer service.
Your ANNA business Mastercard is issued by Wirecard Card Solutions Ltd (WDCS) pursuant to license by Mastercard International Inc. WDCS is authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority to conduct electronic money service activities under the Electronic Money Regulations 2011 (Ref: 900051). Mastercard is a registered trademark, and the circles design is a trademark of Mastercard International Incorporated.
What do I need for ID and address verification?
To verify your identity, we’ll need a photo of your full driving licence or a photo of your valid passport.
Take the photo on a flat, clear surface and make sure all four corners of the ID can be seen in the picture.
If you don’t have a driving licence or a valid passport, you can take a recent photo of yourself to either your bank, solicitor, or accountant to get it certified.
For address verification we might ask for a utility bill, council tax bill or bank statement. They should be dated within the last three months.
How do I use ANNA’s invoice service?
The ANNA team can create sales invoices for you, and we can politely chase up payments that are past their due date. We can also pay your purchase invoices.
We can get all the details we need from you in the app chat. Or you can email us at anna@anna.money to do the same. (Just send your invoice request, or “cc” us, or forward the relevant information.)
Are there limits on my ANNA account?
Yes. Limits depend on which account tier you’re in. We have five tiers: A-E. When you activate your debit card, you automatically get moved from tier A to B.
For each account tier, there are limits on inbound and outbound transactions, depending on the type of payment (BACS or cash, for example), plus a balance limit.
Are my payments and transactions secure?
Yes. Our contactless ANNA debit card includes the latest advanced security features required by the payment card industry. Payments are processed through the same secure Mastercard® and ANNA technology as your chip and PIN transactions.
For example: To initiate your first contactless transaction, and on other occasions, you’ll need to enter your PIN so we can make sure it’s you who is using the card.
You’ll get email notifications for incoming and outgoing payments.
You can see real-time updates of your spending and transaction history in the app, so you’ll never lose track of payments or deposits.
