As at 31st December 2012, there are 272 millions Visa Debit and Credit Card(out of 273 millions accounts) in Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa(CEMEA), an increase by 29 millions or 11.93% compares to 243 millions for the same period in 2011. For the 12 months ended 31st December 2012, USD$940 billions transactional value recorded. This USD$940 billions is made up of USD$178 billions purchases(out of 3,107 millions transactions) and USD$761 billions cash transactions(out of 4,321 millions transactions).

As at 31st December 2011, there are 243 millions Visa Debit and Credit Card(out of 241 millions accounts) in CEMEA, an increase by 21 millions or 9.46% compares to 222 millions for the same period in 2010. For the 12 months ended 31st December 2011, USD$815 billions transactional value recorded. This USD$815 billions is made up of USD$141 billions purchases(out of 2,227 millions transactions) and USD$674 billions cash transactions(out of 3,963 millions transactions).

As at 31st December 2010, there are 222 millions Visa Debit and Credit Card(out of 219 millions accounts) in CEMEA, an increase by 26 millions or 13.27% compares to 196 millions for the same period in 2009. For the 12 months ended 31st December 2010, USD$642 billions transactional value recorded. This USD$642 billions is made up of USD$104 billions purchases(out of 1,647 millions transactions) and USD$538 billions cash transactions(out of 3,438 millions transactions).

As at 31st December 2009, there are 21,699,000 Visa cards in UK, a decrease by 5,437,000 or 20.06% compares to 27,106,000 to for the same period in 2008. These cards are made up of 18,699,000 accounts, where 13,455,000 are active i.e. had a balance outstanding. Nonetheless, the decrease in number of cards is expected due to financial crisis worldwide where credit card issuers are more stringent in issuing of new cards while some old accounts are being closed in the same time. The transactions volume and value for Visa are affected as well due to reduction in the number of cards.

In 2009, a total of 650,888,000 transactions are made with Visa cards, a decrease by 113,196,000 or 14.81% compares to 764,084,000 in 2008. Out of these transactions, 634,768,000 is for purchases; 14,302,000 for cash withdrawal and 1,818,000 for balance transfers. The purchases transaction decrease by 105,608,000 or 14.26% compares to 740,376,000 in 2008; cash withdrawal transaction decrease by 6,079,000 or 29.89% compares to 20,399,000 in 2008; and balance transfers decrease by a whopping 1,490,000 or 45.04% compares to 3,308,000 in 2008.
A total of €50.67 billion in value is recorded out of the Visa transactions in 2009, a decrease of €10.03 billion or 16.52% compares to €60.70 billion in 2008. The €50.67 billion can be broken down as €44.62 billion for purchases, €2.4 billion for cash withdrawal and €3.64 billion for balance transfers. The purchases value decrease by €6.88 billion or 13.36% compares to €51.50 billion in 2008; cash withdrawal value decrease by €1.12 billion or 31.82% compares to €3.52 billion in 2008; and balance transfers decrease by €2.04 billion or 35.92% compares to €5.68 billion in 2008.
